Welcome to Flora Spas

An hour where nothing is asked of you

Most people arrive carrying something — a shoulder that has not loosened in months, a week that would not end, a scalp that has forgotten what clean feels like.

We start by listening. Ten minutes of intake before your first session, so your therapist knows what hurts, what you have already tried, and how much pressure your body actually wants. Then the room goes quiet and the work begins.

Flora Spas brings together two things most places keep separate: proper therapeutic bodywork, and an authentic Japanese head spa with warm-water scalp cleansing in a private basin room. Come for one. Most guests end up booking both.

Our Treatments

Nine ways to get you back to normal

Chronic pain, tissue that will not release, stress that has taken up residence in your neck — none of it is something you have to keep living around. Each treatment below targets a specific problem, and your therapist will tell you honestly which one fits.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage

Long, gliding strokes that warm the whole body, ease surface tension and quiet a busy nervous system. The one to book if you have never had a massage before.

Deep Tissue Massage

Slow, firm pressure into the layers under the surface. Built for the knots that come back every week — shoulders, low back, hips.

Sports Massage

Targeted work for the muscles you actually train. Restores range of motion, shortens recovery and keeps small strains from becoming injuries.

Pain Relief Massage

A clinical, problem-first session. We find what is referring the pain, work it directly, and give you the two stretches that keep it away.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage

Smooth heated basalt laid along the spine so the muscle lets go before a hand ever touches it. Deep relief without deep pressure.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy

Gentle suction that lifts the tissue instead of pressing it, drawing blood flow into stubborn, stiff areas. Add it to any massage.

Back Walking

Ashiatsu — barefoot compression from overhead bars. Broad, even, remarkably deep pressure that hands simply cannot reach.

Not sure which?

Tell us what hurts and how long it has been going on. We will pick the treatment, and say so honestly if we think you need a physician instead of a therapist.

Pillar One

What is body massage, really?

It is not a luxury and it is not a mystery. It is hands-on work on soft tissue — muscle, fascia, tendon — done by someone trained to find the thing that is actually causing your pain rather than the place where you happen to feel it.

At Flora Spas that covers everything from a gentle full-body Swedish session to targeted trigger-point work for a headache pattern you have had for years. You choose the length. Your therapist chooses the technique, with you, on the table.

Pillar Two

And what is a head spa?

A Japanese head spa is a scalp treatment done lying down, with your head cradled in a black stone basin and warm water running continuously. Your hair is double-cleansed, the scalp is exfoliated and detoxed, and then comes the part everyone talks about — twenty unhurried minutes of fingertip massage across the scalp, temples, neck and shoulders.

The circulation it brings to the scalp is genuinely good for your hair. The reason people rebook is that almost nobody makes it to the end awake.

Why Flora Spas

Result-oriented, not just relaxing

Plenty of places will give you a pleasant hour. We would rather you left with something measurably better than when you came in — and came back in three weeks because it worked.

  • Licensed therapists only. Every therapist on our floor holds a current state licence and is insured. No exceptions, no trainees on paying guests.
  • Built around your body. Ten minutes of intake before every first session. We work the problem you came in with, not a script.
  • A genuinely quiet room. Sound-treated suites, filtered air, table warmers, and one guest per therapist. Nobody is rushing you off the table.
  • Membership that pays off. Monthly plans that cost less than a single walk-in session, and roll over if life gets in the way.
  • Real appointment times. Book online in about a minute. We confirm by text, usually within the hour, and we start on time.
About the $35 deposit. You pay nothing on this website. After you book, we send a text to confirm your time and a secure link for a $35 deposit, which comes straight off the price of your session. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and it moves with you or is refunded in full. Read the full policy.

Membership

One session a month, at a price that makes sense

Monthly plans from $75 that include a full session every month, discounts on everything else, and first pick of weekend times. Miss a month and it rolls over — we are not in the business of keeping money for treatments you never received.

What guests say

In their words

★★★★★

I have had the same knot under my right shoulder blade for two years. One deep tissue session and I could turn my head properly on the drive home.

The head spa is worth every dollar. I have never been so relaxed with my head in a sink. My hair felt different for a week afterwards.

Booked a couples massage for our anniversary. Private room, two therapists, and they actually listened when I asked for lighter pressure.

Before you come in

Questions we get a lot

You do not pay anything on this website. After you send a booking request, we text you to confirm the time and send a secure link for a $35 deposit. The deposit comes straight off the price of your session — it is not an extra charge.

A no-show costs a therapist an hour of their day and takes the slot from someone who wanted it. The deposit keeps the calendar honest. Show up, and it simply becomes part of what you already owed.

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and your deposit moves with you to the new time, or is refunded in full. Inside 24 hours, or for a no-show, the deposit is kept.

Ten minutes before your first appointment so we can go through a short health intake. Five minutes after that. Arriving late shortens your session rather than ours.

Come in whatever is comfortable. For table massage you undress to your own comfort level and are draped at all times — only the area being worked on is uncovered. Assisted stretch and Thai Yoga are done fully clothed, so bring soft, loose clothing.
